Elevation – 6500 ft
Process – Washed
Cupping Notes – Lemon, Honey Cocoa
100% Arbica with predominately bourbon varietals

About this coffee: Tucked high in the hills of Rwanda, Ruli sits at the center fo several coffee-growing communities. The coffee that comes from this region tends to be densely flavored, but delicate enough to appeal to tea-drinkers as well.

About this coffee: A darker roast of its sibling, Muraho Morning, Kira Ikawa leans toward a caramel sweetness with a bold, roasty finish. This is both our darkest and our most traditional roast – African coffee the way your grandfather would like it.

Elevation – 6500 ft.

About this coffee: n Kinyarwanda Buhoro Burhoro means “slowly slowly”.
Located in the Gakenke District of northern Rwanda, Ruli Mountain is an area of high elevations, volcanic ash, and some of the best coffee in the world. 100% Arabica with predominately bourbon varietals; the coffee is grown by small-scale coffee farmers then the beans are shipped to Mexico where they begin their journey to becoming amazing decaf coffee.

Smooth and Sweet with A Fruity Brightness

Location – Lake Kivu, Rwanda
Elevation – 5900 ft
Process – Washed
Cupping Notes – Cherry Vanilla, Floral
Beans are grown by independent small-scale farmers, many of whom are women.

About this coffee: Grown next to Lake Kivu on the border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, this award-winning coffee benefits from high elevation, temperate weather, and lush humidity – a combination that produces a sweetly complex coffee.

Nziza Collective Microlot

Nziza Collective Microlot

Location – Lake Kivu, Rwanda
Elevation – 5900 ft
Process – Washed
Cupping Notes – Honey, Nutmeg, Floral
100% Arbica with predominately bourbon varietals

About this coffee: Since 2016, we’ve worked closely with the Nziza Collective of 200 women who are single providers for their families and have adopted the motto, “Strong through coffee!”. The collective’s beans continually meet an exceptionally high caliber and are set aside from the rest of the Kivu Lake harvest as a microlot – the coffee is harvested from a specific section of a single farm and then specially processed to offer unparalleled coffee.

This full bodied, light-medium roast creates a silky smooth cold brew with a tea-like mouthfeel. (Of course, it’s delicious hot too!)

Along with supporting the Nziza Collective by continually investing in its craft coffee, we also work closely with the women to develop additional training and entrepreneurial opportunities to create sustainable, year-round income.

Rwanda Peaberry

An Uncommon Cherry, Distinct Sweetness

Location – Kivu/Ruli, Rwanda
Elevation – 6200 ft.
Process – Washed
Cupping Notes – Lemon, Honey Strawberry

About this coffee: From the farms of Rwanda, an uncommon cherry known as a peaberry is harvested and separated from the rest of the crop. Peaberries make up about 5% of all the coffee harvested in the world. Peaberries are the result of a natural genetic variation where only one of the two coffee seeds in a cherry is fertilized, thereby producing a much smaller and rounder bean instead of the common larger, flat bean shape.
